Mrs. King holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and has been teaching for five years, including three years at First Baptist Christian Academy. Before stepping into the classroom, she spent nearly ten years as a 911 dispatcher, which prepared her well for thinking quickly, solving problems, and occasionally managing chaos with a calm voice. She loves creating a bright, engaging classroom where students are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply, and grow both academically and spiritually. One of her favorite parts of teaching is sharing God’s love with her students and hearing the thoughtful—and sometimes wonderfully unexpected—questions they ask.
Her classroom is also home to the class desk goose, Gilda, the unofficial classroom supervisor. Mrs. King attends First Baptist Church Palm Coast, where her love for teaching continues each summer through Vacation Bible School. Outside of school, Mrs. King enjoys crafting and is known to enthusiastically bounce between creative hobbies. She loves coffee, bright colors, and jokingly says she teaches to justify her love of buying school supplies.
